I have not only been nominated, but shortlisted to be in the @shaw_trust’s disability power 100 list as a high quality disability and mental health advocate 🥹 I’m honestly lost for words.
This news today has really made me smile in what is a very difficult time for me at the moment. Tomorrow marks my 3 year anniversary of losing my driving licence due to my declining eyesight and life is just very stressful at present. I’ve also struggled with imposter syndrome recently and feeling like I’ve lost my voice a little amongst the chaos, but this has given me the boost I needed to carry on ♥️ that I am of some value to others going through a similar journey to me with sight loss and Ocd and that my words do help others.
I’ve been shortlisted for awards 3 times now but never made it further, will this time be my time to shine 😄♥️ either way, what an achievement and I’m very proud of myself for getting selected. Thank you everyone who continues to follow and support me it means a lot, because without you, these things wouldn’t be possible xx
