What an amazing evening surrounded by incredible people ♥️ I couldn’t have been prouder to have been selected as a finalist for the @bbc “make a difference awards” for the “together category” of bringing a community together.
When I started blogging 5 years ago, it was becuse I felt so isolated and alone after my stargardts diagnosis and I didn’t know what else to do. Now I hope I’ve created a space where people going through the same difficult and misunderstood diagnosis, can find some hope, information and a reality of life with sight loss that I was looking for back then.
I’m so grateful for everyone’s support and appreciate all of these opportunities. Winning isn’t important, it’s the raising awareness that is and I hope I’m doing that for all of us with sight loss x
