I didn’t win the Positive role model for disability award, but what an evening and what an honour to be a finalist amongst so many amazing people ❤️.
I never expected any recognition like this when I started my blog, support group and social media accounts and it has pushed me to keep going, because speaking out is helping others and that’s all I ever hoped for when I created “Katie’s Vision.”
Thank you to everyone for your continued support and following my journey with progressive sight loss, learning with me along the way and helping me through the difficult times and celebrating my good ones. It means so much to me and I hope I did everyone proud yesterday by representing the blind and visually impaired community and everyone learning to live with their disability, it means so much to me. Thank you as well to every one who watched it live and added lovely comments that my eldest replayed back to me. I’m sure I will keep spamming my page with awards pictures for a while, as it’s honestly one of the proudest moments of my life so far ❤️ thank you for sharing it with me x
