When I was diagnosed with Stargardts, I wasn’t given any information about what it was or who I could talk to for support. I found a support group online, but it was American based and a lot of the information didn’t apply. On talking to others with eye conditions, I realised how important it was for people to be able to speak to others who understand. So I decided to create a closed and private Facebook group for people with Stargardts or juvenile vision loss in the hope of creating a network of people to share our stories, information and help and the possibility of meeting up with others. So far it has proved to be a very active and worthwhile group and I’m so glad I created it 😊💖
